The Designer.
After graduating from York University’s coveted YSDN Bachelor of Design, designer Jake Oliveira narrowed his focus to specialize in industrial design. His tenure as a designer has seen him cut his teeth at three prominent Toronto based studios before founding his eponymous practice.
The Style.
Jake creates pieces that juxtapose architectural restraint and drama. A key fulcrum of his design identity is the contrast of material and form. His playful curiosity and love of engineering result in designs that both honour and manipulate materials; re-imagining their potential to awe-inspiring effect.
The Cred.
Jake has collaborated with international brands Boyd Lighting, and Powell & Bonnell on a broad offering of designs including furniture, lighting, and more.
His creations adorn top tier showrooms nationally, including Dennis Miller (New York), DeAurora (Chicago), and R Hughes (Atlanta).
Jake and his work have been profiled by numerous publications on the cutting edge of design; including Interior Design Magazine, ELLE Decor, Designboom, Luxe, NUVO Magazine, Interiors Magazine, Canadian Interiors, DesignTO, and more.
