Sculptural shape. Delicate drama.

Inspiration.

Engineering.

It was important to amplify the delicate nature of the shade by removing cumbersome fastening. The solution was a tuck-fastened cavity baked into the shade’s architecture - resulting in only one screw required to marry shade to stem.

Material magic.

Porcelain is a notoriously difficult material to manipulate, yet its organic quality pairs beautifully with light. Experiments in minor tolerances and compound curves were crucial to lock in a form that was both statuesque and structurally sound. Portuguese porcelain adorns the final fixtures.
