Strata Mirror

Strata was the result of a desire to create a mirror with a truly novel shape.

The piece is optically balanced; not mathematically. This was a deliberate decision, meant to embed the human hand into the object’s DNA.

Each corner, the middle line, as well as the perimeter frame were hand drawn to maintain subtle asymmetry in theory, while still presenting a striking and visually balanced shape in practice.
