SuperSnug Sofa

Overhead view of the SuperSnug modular sofa by Jake Oliveira Studio for A. Rudin, featuring feather-down cushions and French-seamed front edge.

Setting ultra-plush monolithic cushions within a tailored frame, the SuperSnug is a study in posture, refined restraint, and Californian comfort. Taking the devil’s advocate position, this design’s rationale interprets the arm rest as a physical barrier to leaping onto the sofa.

Instead, a beautiful flush sloped mock-arm can hold a drink or book, while also maintaining the purity of the front seam line. The wood base is subtly chamfered, adding minimal contemporary simplicity, and showing the inherent complexity in composure.
